Blackboard Collaborate is a tool you can use to meet with students, share your screen, share files, and share a whiteboard. Here is how to get started.
Go to Course Management –> Course Tools –> Blackboard Collaborate Ultra:
Click either Create Session button to create a new meeting:
Once you add your meeting name, you’ll see options for dial in and a guest link. The guest link is what you will send to your students, so be sure to copy it:
Choose your start time/end time and other options. For Collaborate, the times are not Pacific time – they should link up to whatever time zone your computer is in.
After clicking Save, you’ll see your new meeting in your Collaborate area. If you need to make any changes, you can click the three dots to the right of your meeting name. You can also copy the guest link from here:
Once your meeting is set up, create an Announcement to let your students know when the meeting is. Include the guest link so they can access your meeting.
