An Announcement is a tool that automatically goes out to all students in your course.

To set one up, go to your Home Page. You should see an Announcements area. Click on “more announcements…”

This will take you to your Announcements page. Click on Create Announcement:

Add your Subject line and message. This will be sent to students as an email:

Scroll down once you’re finished with your message and choose your visibility options. If your message isn’t date restricted, be sure to check off “send a copy of this announcement immediately”, otherwise it will go out overnight:

Click Submit when finished.
